Why teams
Billing a team shouldn't take a team.
Solo tools stop working the moment a second person logs an hour, and enterprise suites are built for finance departments you don't have. Small teams are stuck in between.
Timesheets here, invoices there
Hours live in one tool, invoices in another and the numbers in a spreadsheet someone forgot to update. Every billing run starts with copy and paste.
Pricing that punishes hiring
Per-seat plans charge you for every designer, developer and contractor who logs an hour — so adding people to a project gets more expensive than it should.
Nobody sees the whole picture
Who's billable this week? Which invoices are overdue? Which projects actually make money? The answers are scattered across people and tabs.
What we're building
Everything Billable does, for everyone on your team.
The calm, uncluttered Billable you know — plus the shared workspace, controls and reporting a growing team needs. Tell us what matters most when you join the waitlist.
Shared team workspace
One home for your clients, projects, quotes and invoices — the whole team works from the same source of truth.
Roles & permissions
Owners, managers and members. Let people track time and log expenses without seeing the firm's financials.
Team time tracking
Everyone tracks against projects with a live timer or manual entries, with billable rates set per person or per project.
Approvals before anything goes out
Timesheets get approved before they're billed, and quotes and invoices get a second pair of eyes before they reach a client.
Project profitability
See what each project billed against the team time that went into it, plus utilisation per person — not just what's outstanding.
Multi-currency, built in
Invoice every client in their own currency at live exchange rates, and report back in your home currency so the dashboard adds up.
Contractors alongside staff
Bring freelancers into the same projects, track their hours and keep a record of what you've paid out to each of them.
Team expenses
Members snap receipts and log project expenses in any currency; you review them and export the lot for your accountant.
Client-ready documents
Branded quotes and invoices, one-click quote-to-invoice, and automatic overdue reminders — the Billable essentials, for the whole team.
How it works
From hours logged to invoices paid.
- 1
Invite your team
Add teammates and contractors, give each a role, and set their billable rates. Bring over your clients and projects.
- 2
Track the work
Everyone logs time and expenses against projects. Managers approve timesheets and spot who's stretched — or idle.
- 3
Bill and get paid
Turn approved hours into invoices in any currency, review before they go out, and watch the money land on one dashboard.
Pricing
No per-seat fees. Ever.
Billable has always been one flat price, and Teams will be too — one price for the whole workspace, whether you're 3 people or 30. Add a teammate or a contractor without doing the maths first.
- Flat price per workspace
- Add teammates & contractors freely
- Early access for waitlist teams
FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What is Billable for Teams? +
It's Billable — invoicing, quotes, time tracking and finances — rebuilt for small teams. Shared clients and projects, roles and permissions, timesheet and invoice approvals, and profitability per project, for agencies, studios, consultancies and small firms that bill clients.
Is it available yet? +
Not yet. We're gauging interest and shaping the first version with the teams on the waitlist. Join and we'll email you when early access opens — the earliest teams on the list get in first.
How much will it cost? +
We haven't set a price yet, but Billable has never charged per seat and Teams won't either. Expect flat pricing for the whole workspace, so adding a teammate or a contractor doesn't add to your bill.
Who is it for? +
Teams of roughly 2 to 50 people who sell their time or projects to clients — design and dev studios, agencies, consultancies, and firms that work with a mix of staff and contractors.
I already use Billable on my own. What happens to my account? +
Nothing changes — Billable for solo businesses carries on as it is. We're designing Teams so an existing Billable organisation can grow into a team workspace, keeping its clients, projects and history.
What happens when I join the waitlist? +
We'll save your email (and team size, if you shared it) and write to you when early access opens — possibly with a question or two about how your team bills today. No spam, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.
